BIOGRAPHY
Don Pendleton is an American artist, Grammy Award winning designer and illustrator working out of Dayton, OH.
After obtaining a BFA in Graphic Design from Marshall University in Huntington, WV in 1994, Pendleton began his career doing copy editing and illustration for several newspapers. In 1998, he accepted a position designing skateboard graphics for Alien Workshop skateboards in Dayton, OH.
Since those early beginnings, he has produced work for over 50 brands across the globe and participated in more than 40 group exhibits and solo shows internationally, including a solo museum exhibit at the Huntington Museum of Art ('Fine Lines') in 2014 (Where he also hosted a workshop and presentation as Walter Gropius visiting artist.)
He also has artwork in the permanent collection of the museum.
His work has been featured in over 40 magazines over the years from various art, skateboard and culture publications (including the cover of Juxtapoz Magazine with a feature article in the issue) and he continues to work commercially with design and illustration as well as dedicating time to the fine art realm with his painting.
Pendleton's client list includes brands such as Mountain Dew, Volcom, Nike, Vans, Oakley, LG Electronics and Logitech. He has designed gig posters for bands such as The Pixies, Foo Fighters, Blink 182 and Billy Strings.
His illustration and design work on Pearl Jam's 'Lighting Bolt' album earned him a Recording Academy Grammy Award for Best Recording Package.
